If I buy an ILB Building can you construct it for me?

ILB's network of resellers can offer both supply of a frame, supply of the whole building and even organise the construction of your building.

 

How does the ILB frame system connect?

There are a number of generic fitting plates that are welded to the frame and then bolted together. These plates can easily be adjusted to fit the size of the beam. Click here for connection details

Fitting Plates

This is the generic terms for the plates welded at the end of the Beams to allow connections. This can be in the form of the column, Apex, Apex and Knee connections.

 

ILB (i 'el 'bee)

Traditionally the shortened term for Industrial Light Beam. A combination of RHS and an unique webbing to make the exceedingly strong and light weight structural beam,

 

ILB was then extended to references of ILB Steel Buildings and ILB Beams. Ultimately this was adopted to be the company name ILB.

Urban myth has also attributed other origins of the name to that of the creator Ian Lesley Berryman.

 

ILB System (i 'el 'bee sis'tem)

The combination of the various sizes of the beams, connected with the standard fitting plates to create the light weight super strength frame.

 

ILB Building  (i 'el 'bee Bil' ding)

The ultimate in large clearspan options. An ILB Building is based on using the ILB Beam together to create the ILB system for framing.

We can then supply the accurate quantity for all other components - cladding, doors, windows etc.
