Design Tips

Proven success

To ensure the integrity of the system, ILB has been placed under intense testing and scrutiny by independent parties.

Testing has been carried out by;
Lynar Consulting Engineers
CSIRO Division of Building Research
Professor Nicholas Trehair of the Sydney University Centre
......for Advanced Structural Engineering

The testing confirmed the significant weight reductions achievable over traditional structural members; along with improved torsional rigidity and bending capacity.

Testing carried out provided ILB with comprehensive documentation to allow comparative studies and design tables.

Properties and Performance

The ILB system is built for maximum strength at minimum weight. The ILB comparison chart can demonstrate where ILB has incredible strength to weight ratio over traditional methods.

Comprehensive design tables

Created for engineers who want to have all options available, these design tables describe how to attain the best out of the system.

They are the blueprint to create the ideal design for your project.

These tables have been created for engineers. Engineers can access these tables by requesting a copy be posted. Click here to request.

Top tips for designing an ILB® Building

To maximise the effectiveness of the ILB system, ILB have developed a set of generic fitting plates.

These plates give you the most cost effective layout whilst still being customised to your design.
